EVENT REGISTRATION IS OPEN TILL MAY 20th 2025

Join us for a tour of a Trident Submarine, the Trident Training Facility and the St Marys Submarine Museum on June 3rd (rescheduled from May 20th due to operational commitments). We'll have lunch in the galley and also stop at the missile display in front of the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic Headquarters. 

We'll meet in the bar of Riverview Hotel, St Marys, Georgia at 5:30 pm the night before on June 2nd for a reception, then we'll eat in their restaurant (Captain Seigles) at 7 pm. On Tuesday morning (the day of tour) we'll meet in the parking lot just outside Stimson Gate of Kings Bay Submarine Base at 8:45 (time subject to change) and be picked up by base staff.

Make your room reservations directly with the Riverview Hotel (912) 882-3242, tell them you're with the Mercedes Club (or MBCA) for their special room rate of $130 per night (will be $151.90 with taxes). We have a small room block so make your reservation early.

Though the tour is free, the event planner is required to pay for the group's lunch and we've added a little bit for any refreshments so we're charging $10 per person. Monday night's dinner will be individual checks ordering from the menu. 

SOME THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

- Submarine schedules can be very flexible and I've seen submarine tours cancelled on short notice due to operational commitments. Do not be surprised if we get close to tour date and have to reschedule. 

- If you can't negotiate a vertical ladder you shouldn't sign up for this tour. There is a fair amount of walking and standing associated with a submarine tour and entering/departing the submarine may be via a vertical ladder. If this is a problem for you, don't sign up for the tour.

- US Citizens only.

- The registration cut off date is at least two weeks before the tour because we have to provide the names in advance. Do not wait to sign up. This will be a small group and it will fill up quickly.



- We'll have to leave our cell phones in the vehicle during the tour, no photos of the submarine or the lower base area.

• Must be able to climb a vertical ladder. Access to the submarine might be limited to vertical ladders. If you can't do this, don't sign up.
• No Open Toe Shoes, Heels or Thick Soled Shoes
• No sleeveless shirts, no tank tops
