MBCA/NTX DRIVING EVENT:
SPRING DRIVE TO THE AZALEA TRAILS, TYLER, TX ON SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2025
It will soon be spring, and we are anxious to take a drive in our Mercedes-Benz autos. Eight years ago our club members took a trip to Tyler, TX to travel around the city to view the beautiful Azalea Trails. Well, it's that time again! It is always a fun time and a great trip to take our MB's down the road to Tyler and to view the beautiful azaleas, homes, and gardens. The Tyler Visitors Center is expecting the trails to be in full glorious splendor! BE SURE TO MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2025.
We will meet in Greenville, TX. Use Exit 94, Joe Ramsey Blvd/Moulten St. which is US 69 to go to the QT (GPS: 1400 E. Joe Ramsey Blvd., Greenville) where we will group up at 9:00am to begin our trip at 9:15am. We will have handouts for the route of the Azalea Trails in Tyler at that time. En route we will take a pit stop at the Railroad Depot and Museum at 115 E. Front St., Mineola, TX, arriving there about 10:15am and leaving about 10:45 am. We should arrive in Tyler about 11:15am. Allowing 2 hrs. for driving the trails, to see the homes, gardens, and azaleas, we will meet for lunch at 1:15pm at The Jalapeno Tree, 420 W SW Loop 323, Tyler, TX 75701, where you will enjoy great Tex-Mex food!
There is a $10 registration fee per car to guarantee your attendance. Please sign up as soon as possible. On your registration form, please put the number of people in your car so we will make the proper number of reservations for our lunch time. There is a specific place for this number on the form. We will also have a poker run during the drive which is always fun with prizes for the highest hand and the lowest hand! The prizes will be awarded during the lunch time at The Jalapeno Tree. If you have any questions, please contact Gayle and Robert Brewer at 215-538-8379 or email to gtbrewer1943@gmail.com. We are looking forward to seeing you at this event!
