Mercedes-Benz Club Houston Salutes America's Heroes

We need 10 member cars to drive in the parade and a few members to walk the 1/2 mile parade route with the Houston section banners and flags. When you sign up indicate on the Evite RSVP if you plan to walk or drive the parade. If you want to drive add the year and model of the car in the Evite RSVP. Parade staging details will be provided later.
WHAT: City of Houston's Veterans Day Celebration (ceremony and parade)
WHY: There are over 250K veterans in residence in the Houston area, making it the 2nd
largest veteran population in the nation. The City of Houston prides itself in paying
tribute and honor to the brave military men and women, who have fought and sacrificed
so that our great Nation and her people will continue to live with democracy, freedom,
and liberty, through its yearly "Houston Salutes American Heroes Veterans Day
Celebration".
WHEN: The traditional Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on Monday, November 11 at 10 a.m. The significance of November (11th month), 11th (day), and 11th (hour) is in
remembrance of the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice, which ended WWI.
WHERE: The traditional ceremony will be held at the front of the City Hall located at 901 Bagby Houston, TX 77002. The ceremony will be followed by a parade.
**Parade** - The American Heroes Parade will begin at 11:30 A.M.
HOW: The parade will start at the streets of Dallas and Bagby, and proceeds east on Dallas, north on Louisiana, west on Walker, south on Smith, west on Lamar, ending on Lamar at Bagby
