Unusually warm and dry fall weather has delayed the colorful fall foliage in North Alabama,
this delay should help us see the peak colors in the northeastern part of the state.
The roads are great at anytime but the native southern sugar maples, beech,
birch and other shrubs punctuated with Goldenrod blooming are spectacular.
We will need to be flexible on altitude and latitude, but the northeastern quadrant of the state has the most of these colorful species.
The fall color drive will start from the Attala Cracker Barrel (I-59 exit 181) to allow our members from the north to meet us.
Jim Roberts will be there by 7:30am for breakfast. We will depart by 9am
