Event Details
Cullman's Christkindlmarkt. (Christ Child Market)
This is a traditional German event staged first in Nürnburg, the toy capital. It features the red and white awnings for the booths arranged around a giant "Weinachts Pyramide" a 10-meter-tall enlargement of the candle powered wooden multitiered revolving carousels that many people display in their houses for the four weeks of Advent.
We will gather at 8:30am at Mercedes Benz of Birmingham, Irondale campus, leaving at 9am.
We will peel off I-65 toward some of the twisty roads near the old Bugtussle Smith Lake.
We will also visit a covered bridge and wind up in Cullman.
Will look for the Nürnburg gingerbread houses with their aroma filling the air if they have them, but they do have "GluhWein" (steaming red wine flavored with orange slices and cloves). You can smell that!
After this visit we will stroll down to All Steak Restaurant which has other entrees as well.
Please make an effort to attend this special holiday treat --especially the orange rolls.
Let us know you will be attending, so we can alert the restaurant.
