This is an all day event with wildflowers (hopefully), Columbia River Gorge views, and snow-capped mountain peaks around many corners. The drive starts at Lewis & Clark State Park (RESTROOMS) near Troutdale 9:00 - 9:15.
Driver's Meeting, waiver signatures, and route maps 9:15 - 9:30; Drive START 9:30. Rowena Heights Overlook 10:35 - 11:00 (PHOTO OP); Biggs Junction (GAS & RESTROOMS), Stonehenge 11:40 - 12:10 (PHOTO OP); Maryhill Winery Goldendale Tasting Room & Bistro (LUNCH & RESTROOMS) 12:20 - 1:40; Goldendale Mountain Locator 1:15 (PHOTO OP); Centerville; Lyle 2:50; Mt Adams Roadside Viewpoint 3:20 - 3:40 (PHOTO OP); Glenwood; B Z Corner (GAS & RESTROOMS) 4:25; return through Stevenson to Camas 5:45.
Views of Mt Hood, Mt Adams, Mt Saint Helens, and Mt Rainier at various point along the way. After lunch roads can be AMG driver's dream if you are spirited. This is a drive you won't want to miss!
